Lions Peak 2009 Harvest
This past week we have finished up the harvest in our estate Paso Robles vineyard. The late rains had some worried but our fruit came in beautifully. The warm days that followed the rain helped dry out the grape clusters and also moved up the sugars to optimum levels. We couldn’t be more pleased.
Now we have to wait and let mother nature change the vats of crushed fruit sitting in the winery into smooth, elegant Lions Peak wine. But while we wait lets enjoy the prior harvest’s bounty by opening a prior year’s vintage!
The 2006 Estate Cab is drinking exceptionally well along with the 2003 Petite Verdot.
Enjoy!
Looking forward to hearing from the Lion and whats happening with the 2009 harvest, and how those 2008′s are drinking.
